What do I major in?

All throughout high school and middle school, I was frequently asked this questions “ what are you majoring in?” And to be frank, I do not know because I am interested in almost every subject. So, as I started researching the college application process and looking at particular schools, I noticed that some schools want to know my major before I applied or some schools, even asked me to apply without asking what major but made me fill in a specific subject like Engineering, Nursing, or Arts and Sciences. so as a senior about to step in the real world ask myself what am I going to do with my future or my career so I will not be bored for the rest of my life and how can I prevent this situation. so in 30 years from now, I will not ask myself what the hell am I doing.

  1. Hi,Omar I was going through this same situation and It's very hard to choose what you should major in. My advice to you is to major in something that you are able to find jobs very quickly. For example, if you major in accounting there are many jobs out there that are looking for accountants. Many kids want to major in stuff that is worthless like a communications major. What jobs can you possibly get as a communication major. Do what your heart desires and be smart about it. Like I said major in something that jobs are always looking to hire people. -Your Good Friend Tony Licea III

  2. Omar, i'm in the same situation as you. In the sense I don't know what my major is yet and what I want to do as a career, but I think you should find what you are passionate about and stick to that. You don't want to go into a field, where in 30 years you regret your decision.
